Match Report
Bishop Wordsworth's School 2nd XV vs  Salisbury RFC R4R 10s
On: Saturday, 26 Sep 2020
Venue: Away

The U17 2XV came into the tournament not really knowing how they would fair against more experienced sides, but exceeded all expectation with Plate Final appearance and some stella rugby and results along the way. With a draw against Salisbury A in their first game they set their stall out for an entertaining afternoon. They beat Amesbury B and then had a show down with the U20s with a Cup semi final in the balance. In the end some magic from ex-BWS 1XV players did the business for the U20s and the 2XV came 3rd in their group with a Plate semi final against Salisbury Vets. The 2XV showed some class in a really fun game to watch that earned them a final spot against Amesbury A. Despite some resolute defence and dogged attack the more senior side with some Fijian flair came out on top. The 2XV however showed how much potential there is and depth in this current group of players. A special mention to J Villanueva who claimed the U20 player of the tournament.
